Art house Identity Design
Project Overview
Art House is a rebrand for a contemporary movie theater, setting it apart from traditional cinemas. The goal was a modern, artistic identity: a logo, word mark, and custom pattern built around a welcoming, communal cinema experience.
My Contributions
Brand Development: Helped develop the overall brand identity so it communicated Art House's modern, artistic character.
Logo and Word Mark Design: Worked with the design team on a striking logo and word mark that capture the spirit of Art House.
Branding Pattern Creation: Helped create a custom branding pattern that reflects the theater's welcoming, social character.
Design Notes
Research and brainstorming led to a design built on geometric simplicity. The emblem combines a circle, a nod to community and classic film reels, with triangles that suggest the light and imagination behind storytelling.
A minimal armchair inside the mark sets Art House apart from traditional theaters and underlines comfort. Pale orange, yellow, and a greyish blue round out the palette, balancing creativity and calm, while a playful pattern repeats the logo's shapes across applications.
