Pratt Norman LLP Identity
Student ProjectProject Overview
Pratt Norman LLP works in entertainment and media law. The rebrand had to look precise enough for a firm and still admit a connection to the arts: justice, craft, and careful documentation in one mark.
The system covers logo, colour, and applications from stationery to signage.
My Contributions
Research: Looked at how entertainment-law firms present themselves, and where they either freeze into corporate or lean too theatrical.
Ideation: Explored a scale as the core symbol, then a flame and quill for passion and the paper trail.
Design: Redrew the mark with geometric construction and set grey, gold, and deep green as the palette.
Refinement: Applied the identity to presentations, collateral, and a sign so the system holds off the letterhead.
Outcome: A modern identity that reads as both counsel and advocate for creative work.
Design Notes
The scale is the centre of the mark, a straightforward sign of fairness, held in clean geometry so it feels current rather than crested. Grey for balance, gold for excellence, deep green for growth and the firm's tie to creative industries.
A stylized flame and quill join the scale for passion and meticulous notes. Together they position Pratt Norman LLP as a defender of rights and a guide through entertainment and media.
